Camp on site or drive through the campgrounds ¼ mile south and east to park under Giant sequoia trees!  Hot and cold tubs, private tubs, rustic tubs, hot pool, sauna, restaurant, and massage.  Hike through the old growth sequoia forest.  Clothing optional.

Union Reservoir East Campground

10 miles of gravel road lead to a primitive campground on a high sierras pristine lake.  Hike around the lake and up into the Carson Iceberg Wilderness. Great mountain biking.   15 Miles to restaurants at Bear Valley Ski Resort.   Drive slow.

Classic High Sierra Campground  up the 108 near a ski resort.  Restaurants, hiking, mountain biking.  Drive up to Bridgeport through the Toiyabe National Forest to see fall foliage at Virginis Lakes.

Clark Fork Campground

Classic High Sierra Campground  up the 108 far from anything.  Rugged Hiking and climbing and swimming in pristine rivers.

Crab Cooker Hot Springs

Nothing but views across the grass of rugged 14,000 foot mountains to  both the east and west.  Dirt road passable with a Mercedes-Benz 240 and a lot of skill.  Drive right to the springs, but park a distance away as nighttime revelers can keep you awake.  Great place to visit after summiting Mt. White or Mt. Whitney.

Obsidian Campground

10 miles of gravel road from the 395 in the Aspen trees of the eastern Sierras.
